I was informed that brand reps are now TOLD to wear a certain outfit from the store....
and they have to use their '50's' on it...

Really????? I like to see their own unique fashion sense come out when I go to the store. I don't want to see everyone wearing a uniform!

they are required to wear certain layers and so on. I remember when two of them came and worked at the Gap I worked at. Of course we are less structured LOL.

I love my gap and abercrombie. If I had more free time, I'd have to work at one of those stores.

The reason why this issue came up was because before this CALIFORNIA incident...the reps were able to buy whatever they wanted to wear, while they worked...

I am not an Abercrombie fan. at all. I have been in their stores several times and have been very underwhelmed with the merchandise... and the prices are outrageous. $48 for a t-shirt? NOT HAPPENING. Don't get me wrong, I'm not cheap and I am VERY into fashion. I managed a Gap location for years... I buy J.Crew at full price...

I just don't dig Abercrombie. Give me my Gap, J.Crew, even Pacific Sunwear instead please.

Me either, but I would hope if I'm going to pay good money at their stores, at least the people who work there should look nice.

That's true Travis. I remember carpenter jeans used to be like $60-$70 and now they are like $35.

Abercomrbie store 540 manager here, the look is no longer in effect, you can wear anything in the store that looks like the current season, as long as it doesnt have another companys name all over it, so its a lot easier on everybody that works there now, and there is word of a new type of store being developed from the crew at abercrombie, geared to the more mature out of college crowd, gonna be pimp
