Some information on shaving...
and keeping SMOOTH...
By Christine'
"So you break out after shaving???
About your break-outs regarding shaving..
It is a common misconception that shaving out breaks is the result of clogged pores.
They are in grown hairs.
This problem can be solved..
Try these three things..
1.Change the direction of your shave.. instead of moving the razor up... shave with the gain of your hair growth.
by doing this you will avoid ingrown hairs, and you will avoid the irritation of hair growing in the thinner skin.
If you feel you aren’t getting a close enough shave this way try going a bit sideways (in the growth direction) using short gentle strokes..
2.Use a good razor..one with a very sharp blade..and a pivoting head.
Change the blade often (every 4-5 shaves).. especially if you have sensitive skin..
3.Use a lathering shave crème that is made just for sensitive skin.
These are thinner than most shave gels and crèmes and will help reduce the chance of you cutting yourself or scraping your skin.
Look for a shave crème that contains glycerin to moisturize and a coconut oil to moisturize.
Stay away from products with mineral oil (which will clog your pores) and avoid menthol , numbing ingredients and benzocaine.. these are known to irritate sensitive skin.
Hope this helps keep you smooth.."
