( sorry Melty )Curious what you guys think of this. I used it today for the first time as a step up from my EB Dark N' Dazed (which I love) because I wanted a mild tingle. Not thrilled at all with the thickness of it and it was sticky. I felt no tingle at all. I got a little redness that lasted an hour so it must have done something. And the smell was just nasty. Anyone have suggestions for another beginning tingle...and for those of you who have actually used tingle vs. non- tingle...do you really notice a difference with a tingle? I was thinking of trying Anya's idea of Dark Kickin Ale cause she seems to really like it. Not sure if I want a bronzer though cause I smell nasty after using it. As a non- tingle I was thinking of Ambrosia Dark Deluze or Helix.

my salon doesn't carry spiked butter but the dark kickin ale i never have a nasty dha smell when i tan with it. another major perk to that lotion i know every lotion reacts differently to everyone but if u can buy a sample of it and try it out... it never hurts to try. and hey for the price u can't beat it

Spiked Butter is a gelee and not everyone likes those. If you're looking for a good browning lotion, try Green Tea by Formulated Solutions or Swedish Hemp Creme by SB. If you're looking for a tingle, well... I don't have many that I really love except for Melon Frappe and Ultimate SPY (very hot). I tan mostly without tingles and I have awesome color... so I think that it can be done without tingle. Sun Tea by FijiBlends is a good light DHA bronzer without a nasty after-tan smell.... oh there are so many possibilities.
Anya are great online buddies but we do not have the same "taste" in lotion. Most of her favorite products, I totally hate. What works for some people does not work for all. We can only give you suggestions... always try a sample before you buy... and sample sample sample different things so you can develop your own lotion "style".

Make sure you try a sample first Color...I am thankful that I did. It was really think and greasy feeling and I wasn't too fond of the smell. The tingle was verymild...mild enough that I didn't feel it....but I liked the bronzer and it gave great results. Let me know if you try it and what you think of it

my salon has these in little cups to sample, gonna have to give it a try....it looks awesome in the cups, shimmery

it does contain shimmer but it isn't very noticeable on your skin... I like gelees but everyone's preference is different. I used to use this when I just wanted a change.... but I don't have anymore and obviously won't be buying anymore either.

I don't think I'll like it. If I use a tingle, I want a strong tingle. Plus, I don't like "icky" feeling lotions.

Not a spiked butter fan at all, even though I love the California Tan line. Emerald Bay probably has the most resonable prices for tingles such as Mojo(hot) and Dark Kickin' Ale. Also for the size of the bottle I think that Rock Star is a good deal that gives great results. If you can splurge a little Bombshell is an amazing bronzer/tingle and so is Caramel Spice.

matahri's sultry sexy tan is an awesome tingle for tingle wimps. It's mild, but they more you use the more it tingles. It also has a bronzer and i think it smells fabulous

I didn't like Spiked Butter either, way to thick & greasy. It stained my clothes & my chair at work (how do I explain that one?!) I didn't notice the bronzer, but I thought the tingle was hot (one of my first ones I tried)

Well for tingles I sell a lot of the mojo and dark kicken ale, from Emerald bay. I haven't tried it but I hear it's good.

I'm glad I sampled this before buying it. I felt no tingle, I didn't like the smell, especially the ATO, and I didn't see any results from it.
