View Full Version : Sunless Tanning
Are there any avid sunless tanners here? That do not go to tanning beds? Just sunless tanning? I think that it would be a great idea to add a sunless tanning message board!Pleazzzze

I used sunless tanning for over 2 years, but I am really tired of it. I've started using a tanning bed, but I'm still using sunless tanning until I get darker. I don't think I'll ever sunless tan again, unless of course I can no longer use a tanning bed. I've just used all types of sunless lotions, and am personally fed-up with the smell, feel, look, and time involved in sunless tanners. What kind do you use linn, and do you like it?
I like it, of course I have no other choice. I have used almost every brand on the market so it is hard to choose a product to say I like. The Banana Boat Medium Blend is nice for a drugstore product. I really like Lancome and Clarins sunless tanners.
Anya thank you for moving this! I assume this board is for all types of sunless tanning!! Yea!!

I also used sunless for awhile because of someone in my family that had skin cancer. Now I use the tanning beds but I do so with moderation. It has taken me 2 months to get as dark as I am now and that is only because I am very careful that I don't burn and only go a few times a week. When I was using sunless lotions I would frequent a board at www.sunless.com. They were really knowledgeable when it came to me asking sunless questions. By the way...welcome to the board. Feel free to ask questions and we'll try to help

Linn, I was using sunless tanners for a while. Sunless.com that Laurel suggested is the place for you to go to any information you want and need. Look at the posts for Avon, that's a good sunless tanner and one that I used and had lots of luck with. I decided to start using tanning beds because I have a problem with sunless tanners on my ankles (I know that sounds weird) and feet and was getting frustrated. I still will probably use it until I build up my base tan, as I've only tanned twice. I will try to answer whatever questions you might have.

The sunless tanners that I used were No-Ad med-dark (yellow bottle) and I also like the color I got from Sea & Ski. No-Ad took more coats but it wasn't as easy to streak as some of the others because it was a lighter color.

My daughter kept buying this type of crap, she'd end up orange and streaks up and down her legs and her ankles, well the looked even as long as she never took off her socks. LOL

I used sunless tanners a couple summers ago and had great results..but they are time consuming ..and if you like to swim and get in the hotub its a real drawback...

I agree- the restrictions when you have a sunless tan are not worth the time you have to put into trying to find the right product and all mess ups with streaking and funky colors, then you finally get a decent looking tan and you can't be in chlorine or a hot tub- I do my face with an st every other night. I just got done putting it on and its so HOT in here that I'm sweating and I know its not going to come out right , so I'll have to re-do in the morning when its not so hot, but your face only takes a minute so it's no big deal and can always be evened out with a bronzer. But for the rest of me I much prefer the tanning bed!

we only have about 2 months to swim here in MI and I take full advantage of it and I'd get ticked if I paid all that and it just washed off!

Ladyboss.....I see that you're in PA- if at any time you can make over the river into Jersey, I'd really like to invite you to our office where you can try out our system, at no cost to you. You have the experience to know good from bad, but I think you might like our system and your input would be good for us either way. Check out the www link above for more info.

I use the Spray on Tan everytime i go tanning. But what I do is I go in the best bed of the salon then when I am done i go to the Spray on Tan and do it. The results are wonderful. But the price is up there.

www.sunless.com has the best board about sunless tanning. I don't think anyone can make another and have the same or better success it has.

I loved Endless Summer, never Streaked, never orange, but I tan in a bed for the most part, and use sunless to enhance.

I use sunless tanner all the time. I have used them all, and the ones that wash right off are bad because well they don't last. Then the ones that don't really seem to stick on the back of your ankles, and they just don't want to come off. I am impressed with the color that Neutrogena Instant Bronze gives you though in such little of time, but the first drop of water you get on you, it will show, trust me.
