I noticed last year (and the year before) that I wasn't getting much of a tan after going to the beach for hours. Now I am wondering if it had anything to do with the Hawaiin Tropic oil I was using that contained Mineral oil. I have decided this year I will use indoor tanning lotions. What does everyone prefer? I was thinking about Dark n Dazed.

Dark N Dazed would get my vote. Just remember to wear it with SPF.

if you have a good base tan, what amount SPF? 15? 4? I confess not to know much about it

Depends on how many hours you are going to spend outside, and if you're near any bodies of water. Probably I would say either spf 8 or maybe 6. If you're really dark then you can try spf 4. But regardless on how tan you are, wearing at least a little bit of sunscreen is a good idea, since the sun has higher UVB% vs. a tanning bed.

I used 15 spf on my face and 8 on my body and I still tanned dark and I did layer it with margarita maddness, or nuvo bronz mega 10x, or ambrosia DD ( not all at once )

I use Supre's Cocoa Beach (regular- non tingle) outdoors and get a very good color boost from it. It smells like bubblegum to me and it reminds me of the beach
