how much do you use?

I find that I use quite a lot of lotion per session.... sample cups or packettes tend to contain anywhere between 0.5oz-0.75oz. One is not enough for me!

I use about an ounce per session, probably a little more. An 8oz bottle usually lasts me for about 6 sessions... How much do YOU use?

using a little dab of lotion is not going to help. You should use at least 0.5oz of lotion per session to get the moisturization and magnification benefits.

I use a lot, probably too much... But you always need to make sure you're using enough to get the benefits from the lotion.

I feel like I use alot, but I dont know...I use about 6 quarter size squirts a session...one for each arm and leg, and one for my tummy and one for my back....I try not to use too much cuz i can't afford a ton of lotion lol

I probably don't use enough. I get the samples and I always get two uses out of them. I hate having to rub a lot of lotion in. I only have 4 minutes to undress and lotion up which usually still is not enough time.

the sample packettes should not last longer than 1 session.... if you are using less, then your skin is not getting the benefits it should.

You should use about 1/2 ounce per session....but that is not a set in stone rule...some use a little more, some a little less. I think making a 1/2 ounce packette good for 2 tanning sessions is not enough though.

Even when I slather on lotion, I don't use a 1/2 ounce. When i used my sample of Frosted Hemp I put it on quite liberally, and still got 2 full uses out of it. I don't apply lotion to my back, but I do everywhere else. ???

With some lotions I don't need as much depending on the texture. Also, I think the drier our skin, the more it absorbs, the more you need. The size of the person makes a difference too!! I use a lot of lotion. The packets are sometimes not enough for me; sometimes too much. Depends on how thick and rich the lotion is and how dry my skin is that day. With a really good lotion a little goes a longer way. If the lotion is not rich enough, I may need two coats. My arms, legs, and back seem to suck up more lotion than my less-dry stomach and chest, where the lotion doesn't seem to absorba at all...

I totally agree....it all depends on a lot of factors......I tried a tingle the other day in a sample packet......was sorta scared...whimpy....and didnt want to over do it my first time out using a hotter tingle..so I still have half the packet left...only used it on my legs and am thinking I should have used it ALL cuz I didnt feel a thing.......

I put on a good thick coating, so I'm not cheating myself of its effectiveness. I've noticed that if I'm stingy with how much I use it doesn't work as good.

I think it depends on the texture of the lotion. A thinner lotion spreads quickly and thus I don't seem to need as much. But I prefer to use closer to .70 oz than .50 so that I get some leeway. I would prefer to use too much than too little.

I have been using a ton sine I put it everywhere, but the manager told me it's not neceassary to put it on the back or stomach since they tan the easiest and don't need any accelerator, so I will probably be using considerably less.

My friend manages to have her 8oz bottle of dark sexy tan last for ages where as mine goes fast. Well not too fast but faster then hers. I make sure I put enough on so I feel the lotion and rub it in everywhere. All areas feel covered. Thankfully they give me plenty of time in the rooms.

.5oz sample packets seem to be the perfect amount of lotion for me. I'm 5'8 and 125 pounds. The only place that I don't rub lotion in would be my face. I would say that I cover my body pretty well with the lotion. My tan is even which I guess would be a good deciding factor over how well I apply my lotion hehe

Someone posted that they can get up to 4 tanning sessions out of a packet/cup of lotion?
I know we all vary with our needs for lotion, but 4 times? I think you might as well not use a lotion at all if you use it that sparingly. No need to drown yourself in lotion. But I think 0.7oz is perfect

I always use a full 1oz cup when I mix my usual bronzers with tingles though.

Same here! I always end up with "ends" of SB but any other brand's sample I'm squeezing like toothpaste to get it all out...
