by Christine the Skin Care WonderWoman...

If you CARE about your clients.........
ASK them about their skin before you tan them..
Question them about products they use on a daily basis to cleanse with..

What are they using to moisturize with??..

Products on the store shelf have AHAs and Betas in them....... and we are seeing more and more skin damage this year from peoples use of exfoliants on a daily basis..
Exfoliants should be used no more than once every 5-7 days on the face.........
Remember........
You are the pro......be very sure you are helping your client get the BEST tan..
Sometimes saying NO don't tan your face today will benefit them 10 fold..........

You get really one chance with your skin....
Advising them to prtect the face, throat and chest is wise....
Tell them to use a bronzing power .Caltan makes a great one you can sell them........
people are using all sorts of aggressive products on their skin these days....
Help them to have GREAT skin.
ASK...and advise them to cool it on the face.......
Brown is good...
REDor PINK is BAD.

Thanks Chica. I have a question though. Hope in a Jar is an exfoliant? I use it everyday on my face a couple times a day. Do you think thats too much?

I don't think Hope in a Jar is an exfoliant.... does it say that on the jar? I have the "dry, sensitive skin" version so maybe the ingredients are different?

well I do tan my face, as do many others.... so it's important to be aware of these things.

I'm ordering 2 bottles of Saving Face! I found a site where they are only 8.50!
I moisturize like **** in the morning, sometimes in the afternoon, and before bed. I put so much on, I can't rub it in anymore and have to let it dry!

as far as I can tell, Hope in a Jar doesn't contain retinol.... I buy the "dry sensitive skin" formula and the bottle and product description on drugstore.com mentions nothing about retinol. it's such great stuff though....

i stay away from bha and aha products for the most part. i prefer gentle cleansers and manual exfoliation once in a while.
