I find Clay creepy, especially how he mouths thankyou and bites his lip after compliments, but this isnt a cool guy contest. He has the best voice. Not just good like rubens but unique. He deserves it. Ruben is excellent but predictable.

Ok, do any of you guys know about the UK show "Pop Idol"? It was the precursor to "American Idol". The guy who won the first competition is Will Young, who is openly ***. However, he didn't reveal this until after he won because he thought it would hurt his chances of winning. If a guy in the UK show was afraid to talk openly about it (and the UK seems to be a little more accepting of homosexuality than the US, IMO) then if Clay is ***...why would he choose to make it public right now? Especially since Will is being pressured to keep it quiet that he is *** if he wants to break into the US market (that's just sad). Clay is an awesome singer and bringing his (unsubstantiated) sexual orientation into the conversation doesn't make any sense to me. And the handicapped comment...wow. Maybe it was supposed to be funny, but somehow it was just sick and offensive.

well it's closed minded if people do not give someone a chance cus they are ***. but then this isn't a perfect world and people just do not accept something that is different.. and yes it is very very sad.

It is easier for the contestants this year. Last year the contestants were a little unsure of what to expect because they were setting the precedent for the show. This year's contestants, while very talented, had at least a few precedents to follow and learn from season 1.

When it comes to vocal ability, Clay has it hands down.

honestly I never got too excited over American Idol! But I did hear Rueben on the radio this morning and I found myself wanting to turn the radio off! Maybe it was just that song but seriously I don't see what all the fuss is about!

ijust downloaded one of the songs that clay sung on the finals and man it just upsets me that he did not win. he's got such a beautiful voice. i personally didn't like most of the songs that ruben chose.. and when he sang john lennon's imagine, he didn't do a great job cus normally that song makes me cry (looooooooooove that song) and when ruben sang it did nothin for me. and let me just say i may be biased but if i do hear a good performance i say so. and ruben has had some excellent nights but i always thought clay was better.
