We are considering an airbrush kit with a compressor for home use and were wondering if anyone had an opinion on which ones are the best and which solutions are best. We are looking at a Pro Tanning System and their solution has a base of polyacrylamide which helps the skin hold the moisture. The Paasche spray equipment uses Amber-Mist which is aloe vera based. We don't want anything that is super dark. We're using Mystic Tanning Booth and we are having some problems with streaking as well as overstaining on the ankles, knees etc. Mystic is aloe vera based but we understand some are alcohol based. Can anyone help??!!

We are coming out with a mini compressor which will be put into a tanning/body art/make-up it for home use and for selling into beauty schools. The kit is going to contain a lightweight mini compressor, a multi-use double action airbrush, cleaning cup & brushes, exercise sheets, operating instructions, and ONE of the Su-Do modules (tanning/bodyart, etc). Our lotion comes in both clear and bronze, both lotions behaving in the same manner but the bronze lotion just gives that initial satisfaction element. Our lotion contains aloe vera for moisturizing and soothing properties, panthenol for skin softening, and eurythulose which aids DHA absorption and prevents skin flaking. It contains the appropriate amount of DHA to ensure an even, quality tan. The lotion has a pleasant fragrance, unlike most DHA-based products. Su-Do's tanning lotion gives a natural, bronze tan, which is usually achieved after 2 applications, but one application is sufficient for those wanting a lighter tan. Su-Do tanning lotion can be applied with a great degree of control and precision. Su-Do also provides telephone technical support and has over 5 years experience in the industry. Check out our website for more info...

Hi Nixter, thanks for the info. Your site mentions the U.S. (I'm in S. California) but your site prices are still in pounds. Are you selling much in the U.S.? Also I saw you have a spray booth with a curtain enclosure. Is this used for those doing some sort of mobile service? If so, how does that usually work? Thanks again.

Valmal.....we are in the slow process of launching in the US, from the east coast. We will make our markets wherever the interest takes us. Pricewise, a salon can buy a full kit for about $900-$1300 including training, and I expect that the 'home kit' mentioned above will be just over $500. The enclosure is wonderful...but they are not cheap....it has a quiet but powerful fan on it that traps excess lotion, which is nice for a permanent setup rather than a mobile one. For mobile, proper ventilation should be all one needs, as you are not doing dozens of applications a day in the same locale, and 'pinking' the walls with excess bronzer. As we branch out, we will be looking for individuals that we will train to demonstrate and train salons in the use of the equipment.
