Ok, this is what I do, I shower and shave BEFORE I go tanning so I have fresh clean skin, but end up not using moisturizer because I don't know what would not block the rayz. Is there a before tan moisturizer?

I shower and shave b4 tanning and never have a problem with using moisturizer. i seem to get just as dark but if u want something that will moisturize your skin b4 u tan why not get a very moisturizing tanning lotion that u can apply after showering. i used to use AG's thrust after showering on occasion. or try Brown envy by synergy tan that is a good lotion to use after showering

Norvell offers Pre-taning solutions. Exfoliant shower gels and Encore moisturizer. Moisturize your skin all the time especially afer you come out of the shower. You might consider that a "before tan moisturizer". Healthier skin tans better and tans will last longer.

Just use your after tan lotion. I usually use my Body Drench or Angel and I never see any problems with my results when tanning. OR just apply your regular tanning lotion if it is really moisturizing. I, like Anya, use Brown Envy sometimes.

ok, thanks! I thought it would block the rayz. Now I gotta find some, tried that with the tingle but although I use tingle when tanning I don't recommend it as an after shower way before tanning lotion...lol.

I worry about this too sometimes. what I do is just shower, get out, get dressed and ready without applying lotion, and then head straight to the salon. if there is a chance that I'm not going to be able to go straight there, then I moisturize with a browning lotion like Brown Envy or Drama Queen... then I usually bring the same lotion to reapply at the salon whenever I get there.

I just use vaseline intensive care before tanning and apply my lotion at the salon

Nj that's what I was thinking after reading from everyone. Is Drama Queen a good one for that? I don't have any yet but am looking for one now for that purpose.

Melonin made by Synergy (they produce Brown Envy). Retails for about $12. Avoid Vaseline Intensive Care and Nivea...it's that evil mineral oil again.

Drama Queen is AWESOME! It has the same scent as Angel and is an excellent browning lotion that leaves your skin very soft and moisturized. I recommend this lotion to everyone.
body invest makes uv prep, you could use that. it's a before and after lotion. i think it may even be for "during". check it out.
