Mine ran a two week special. 10 visits for $25. There was also a special on the orbit minutes, but I've forgotten what it was. You could buy as many packages as you wanted. They won't run another special until December.

The package they are running at one of the salons here is buy one package, get another for a friend for 1/2 off. Also, another local salon is advertising unlimited tanning for $18.00*..... now there is an * so i wonder what the catch is, if any.....

My salon usually has the "tan until year's end for $99". That's the base beds and it's indeed a bargain if you get that early on. It's unlimited too. Sometimes, they have specials on their upgrade beds too but that's a rarity.

TrOnado, that sounds like a great special!! I wish i could find a salon i really liked that would offer a special like that! I'd have to be out of my mind to pass up on a deal like that......

I started at a salon because they offered 3 months for $45 unlimited in base beds with 125 min free in upgrade beds, then I found out that the upgrades times are NOT actualy time you spend in the bed. For instance the level 5 takes 48 min off your time even though you are only in it for 12 min. And that's if you can get all undressed, lotioned up with your goggles on in the ned in 5 min time. I end up usually losing a couple of min. Sept 1st the price goes back up to $24 a month but I will probably cancel my membership because I DETEST being just a number and the 5 min is crap. As well as the time differences in the upgrade beds. But I haven't completely made up my mind yet.

I think that the $45 unlimited 3 month deal sounds good, but the 125 minute upgrade thing just seems confusing to me.... I tried to figure out how that would work, and just thinking about it gave me a headache! I hate being just a # also, and there is a 5 minute limit for getting ready at the salon i just went to, also. I think im going to find a new salon.....

I passed a salon today that is brand new, and advertising "3 free tans to each customer". I guess it is their grand opening special, and i am now thinking im definatly going to check them out! The are only about 5 minutes away from where i am staying, too, which is a big plus in my book! I also imagine that since they are brand new the facility must be really clean and shiny, too!

I went to this salon today and was thrilled to see the chick that signed me up. We just clicked when I first walked in and she remembers my name or at least makes an attempt at it, plus she let me borrow her face lotion, I want to buy some but at $19 a pop for a dinky little bottle my hubby would freak! Then she gave me a little extra time to get ready but the thing came on too soon so she reset it and gave me 2 extra min because it came on too soon and I lost that time. Anyway I guess you had to be there to understand. I told her I was thinking of canceling my membership because of all that I said above and she was really nice about it and as you see she tries to make good unlike the others that work there.

Strnghrt, I think it's great that the salon worker is trying to make things right for you, so that you'll leave the salon happy! I know that lotions can be spendy, and it's so nice when they give samples (or even lend their own!) to customers that are not able to shell out the $ for a lotion at that particular time. There have been a few times when i've been to salons where i couldnt plop down the cash for a new lotion even though i really needed one, and they (knowing i was stapped for cash) still charged me $6.50 for a sample. it always makes a huge impact on me when salons go above and beyond what they need to do, and instead do what it takes to make the customers truly happy.
It's also great that the employee gave you some extra time on the clock and reset the minutes to make up for the lost ones.... it's those little things that make a huge difference to customers!

Yeah, I did it 2 years in a row but I took a 3 to 4 month "rest" between the deals. I like the deal but I tend to get bored going to the salon twice a week in the fall to maintain my tan. After the college students leave in middle of May, the salon usually starts the $99 til year's end deal to entice more people to tan there. It usually works
That's the best deal in my town and as I reiterate, the base beds pack quite a wallop.

This year though, I'm not going to tan til years end and I just got me a package for the "middle" bed.

That deal would definately entice me to start tanning there .... I can understand taking a rest between the deals, since i have never gone tanning 12 months out of the year, yet. I am thinking i need to start, though, and a deal like that would be great for someone who wants to maintain their tan year round. How do you like the package for the "middle" bed? Is it as good as the other deal? Keep us posted!

Yes Lil she is great, I hadn't seen her there for a couple of weeks and it definatly made a difference, the other girls just don't seem to care like she does. I sure didn't expect her to lend me some out of her own bottle, she just handed me her bottle and said here use mine. Their prices are pretty good there for stuff, but I just wish the rest of the girls were like she is. She seems pretty knowledgeable about tanning too, plus she's about my age. I get sick of going to salons with only teenagers working that know didly about tanning, and could care less about you as a person.

I have run into the same situation you have at tanning salons with some of the younger workers being less customer-friendly. I know there are many workers that are very knowledgable and attentive, but i guess that most of the problems i have ever run into are with the younger, less-tanning-experienced set. The salon worker where you tan at seems like she genuinely cares about her customers. That is so refreshing, and makes all the difference in the world. Have you told her how you feel regarding her customer service and kindness? It sounds silly, but when i was in the retail field i once in a great while got a customer to come up to me and say that i made their day. That was always so welcoming since a lot of times people only hear feedback if it's negative. Maybe the other workers at the salon will see how great a job she's doing, and try to follow suit......

Good idea, think I will do exactly that! Thanks! I remember when I was in retail and you are right, it feels great to have a customer go out of their way to let you know they appreciate what you do.

She'll probably greatly appreciate the input that you give her, and she might find a way to do more for you as a client.... it seems like when a person that's great at customer service is told they are doing a great job they will go even more above-and-beyond for the person that gave them the pat-on-the-back. I know that there doesnt need to be a motivator for a job-well-done, but it seems like a kind word or a good deed come back ten-fold.

If the other workers see that you are more than happy with her job performance as a salon worker then hopefully they will think "hey, that could be me making the customers so happy!"

I love the "middle" beds. They are 40 bulb beds with 20 170 watters above and 20 120 watters below. The sides of the bed are curved up more so all I have to do is the standard lay flat, then the frog lol, then prop up legs to avoid the crescent moons . All of this without having to raise the canopy at all. Its a very roomy bed. Sometimes, the salon has an unlimited special on the middle beds so if you have a good base tan, it's an offer you can't refuse. An upgrade from this bed to the Ergoline 600 bed is about $6.50 I think...

I pay $55 per month for unl. superbed tanning. Also for an extra $2 per visit they increase your time from 20 to 30 minutes
