Okay guys...

heres some tips I thought you guys would like...
I know that probably many of you know them already....But let's talk about them anywayz...

1) A light tanning oil layered on top of your favorite tanning lotion, in a BOOTH will BOOST your color very nicely...
Just ask your salon if they are cool with you using an accelerating oil...In a booth, they probably would not like you to use an oil in their beds...

2) MOISTURIZED skin tans easier...its fact...Invest in a quality tan-extender moisturizer, and apply after tanning and after showering to lock in your skins moisture...Try Designer Skin's Angel, California Tan's Total Immersion, or Matahari's Luminous, OR Supre's Hempz Herbal Moisturizer...

3) Do NOT tan every day...Give your skin a rest in between sessions, and Drink lots of water, to keep yourself hydrated...

4) NEVER let yourself burn EVER!!! Take it easy, and always listen to your salon for session times and what lotions to use...

5) If you have a base tan as of now, try to go to a step 2 lotion, for boosting color beyond your plateau...These lotions are extra moisturizing, and usually help you tan darker...

Happy belated Spring...
Summer is in 6 WEEKS!!!

Happy Tanning

It seems like it went from winter to like 3 weeks of spring to summer. We have Florida's weather (highs in the upper 80's with high humidity) at the moment.
Anyways, those are good tips, meltdbutta.

Do NOT use any mineral oils in any tanning machine. It wrecks the acryllics even from the mist in the air that is being sucked out of the booths. All the oil is doing is amplifying the light on your skin and if it's over another moisturizer this will cause it to be uneven. Don't do this. Just buy a quality APPROVED tanning lotion and forget the old school oil. Remember, over doing it will cause problems. All we need is for one fool to over do it and kick up some skin cancer and blame it on ignorance.

Ooo - can I add one thing? Eat a healthy diet~! You need all your vitamins and amino acids (protein) to produce melanin, especially essential amino acids and tyrosine. Still, i think you can obtain all of these with a multivitamin and a balanced diet. Many people on the forums also say that exercising before tanning helps with color.

Same here in Texas. Yesterday was gorgeous and today is cool (58) and rainy. Yuck. Atleast I don't have to water the yard! LOL
