Im going to hit up the salon for a darker tan for my modeling career. So whats all this 24,26,28 bulb stuff, and 120/220 volts?
Is it the more volts the stronger the bed? The more bulbs, the bigger the bed? I assume i should start with a 120volt 24bulb bed? What about times? 20minute is a base and lower minute like a 8 minute is stronger?
need help
thanx

Well, I have no idea what you look like, whether you have a base tan already, how sensitive your skin is, etc. You are correct that a 8 minute or 12 minute bed is stronger than a 20 minute bed. The number of bulbs obviously has a major impact on how much color you will get but you don't want to go from zero to 60, so to speak, too quickly if you haven't been tanning yet. Give us more info! And get some GOOD lotions (try to buy samples, lotions are not cheap) Let us hear back from you.

120v 24Lamp Bed... Is a home unit.
If you go to a salon you will more than likely have your choice of a 220v 24-32Lamp bed as a "base" bed.
I suggest you take a skin type questionaire to determine your approximate starting length and go from their with your increases. The # of minutes in a bed are based on the time you get 4Med ... So in a 20min bed it takes 20 minutes to get the 4med and in an 8min it takes 8minutes to get the 4med.... The lamps % of UVA/UVB will mean more.
I suggest you find a professional in your area to help you get started.. Build slowly...
