Tattoo's?? Piercings??? [Archive]

7 inks , navel pierced and ears too! My best friends husband is a tattoo artist and recently opened his own studio! Some of my ink is hidden and only shown or seen in private I have a dolphin in a cresent moon on my right upper shoulder blade and a peace lily on my ankle and two custom designs; one on my left hip which is HUGE and I hated it intially... LOL~I am a CLT ( Cert. Laser Tech) and nearly removed it the next day at work but now I LOOVE it and I have a BIG very detailed one on my lower back that extends to my tail bone ( also custom designed )with a long story to it, I have a honey bee right above my pubic bone .....have another tiny one on my very upper inner right thigh....not telling what it is either.... and I have the ever popular boobie one.....a starburst....only problem is after 3 kids its not lookin much like a burst of anything...... and sometimes I have problems finding it! :/

Is your ankle all black? I havent done any all black ink *yet* but have heard that the black tends to be a lil' more painful in the filling in part(??) All I have is a tribal heart tattoo on my ankle and my belly pierced. My mom (51 and going through Menopause) just went through a spurt and got 4 tattoos in a month. She got a cute band on each arm, a butterfly w/ rose over her boob, and a rose anklet around her ankle. Now she's talking about getting her nipples pierced. She is too funny.

I have my tongue & navel pierced.Have 2 tattoos.A sun coming out from behind a cloud with a rainbow behind it & a winged horse flying which is on my shoulder.A permanent souvenir from Houston.I also have a unicorn head w/the symbol for my zodiac sign(Sag)on my hip.Both are very old.Would like several more but the bf is keeping me in line.lol

no it wasn't any more painful. i actually need to get it touched up again soon. the guy that gave me the tat said that he had a guy the day b4 me cry and then pass out and he said that i was the best about it lol i sat there talkin and laughing and having a good time during the whole thing

I have a yellow rose on my lower left back/hip area. I also have two ears pierced in left ear and two in right plus a third (cartilage)..I wanna get my belly pierced but I am still a bit scared, me and my married friend might go soon..

i have 3 holes in each ear and i have the left cartilage pierced i am gonna get that done again.. i am not a chicken about getting my ears pierced but anywhere else i am a huge chicken lol i wanted to get my tongue pierced years ago (didn't happen) i wanted to get my nose pierced (didn't happen) lol i think i WILL be getting my nose done though i will bite the bullet and do it

get cartilage pierced with needle at tattoo place is my recommendation cuz I did that and it healed up within 3 weeks!

Apparently, only the ladies on the board have them. I can't believe there are no guys here who don't have at least an ear pierced. Oh, and the only thing I have pierced are my ears. I want a tat, just gotta get up enough nerve.

Naw - it wasn't too bad, some spots were a little touchy but definately worth it. I get tons of compliments on it and have had 2 people copy it.

I just ment that for some reason people (atleast the people i know) relate toungue peircings with being ***. I realy dont care thow, if i had my parents signiture id get it done in a heart beat.

Good subject. I have 4 piercings and 4 tats. Piercings are..Eyebrow ( i dont wear anything in it becuase I hate it) my tongue, nose, bellybutton. Tats .. celtic arm band on left arm, kanji symbol for "love & trust" thats in the pelvic area, right side, Kanji symbol for Harmony on my right ankle and I have a celtic design piece on my lower back..My favorite piercing is my nose and it hurt like ****!!!

I am pretty blah...I have my right ear pierced 3 times ( 2 on the bottom, 1 at the top) and my left ear only 2 times. I would love to get a little tattoo right to the left of my right hip bone but didn't know if it would hurt in that area or not. Anyone else have one there. Right now I just have a heart tantoo

Laurel, I have a tat in the pelvic area. It sits right above my bikini bottoms. I wouldnt say it hurt, it was annoying but everyones pain tolerance is different.

I don't like tattoos (to me it breaks the symmetry of nice dark brown skin), but I have a pierced tongue and a small ring in my outer labia. I had a nipple ring in college but it chafed under my sportsbra when working out so I had it removed! I also have about half a dozen in each ear.

I have a small rose on my pelvic and was scared to death when I got it. Yes it hurts but its not untolerable.

I'm looking for something cool to put on my back but haven't found it yet. I have to do it then show the hubbie he doesn't like tattoos.

I have one tatoo on the small of my back it's just a little indian design! Very small it only took 10 minutes and was $50. He did a great job though! I am not to into tatoos but I definitly think this one adds a little flava! Ha! I also have my belly button peirced I was gunna go for the bottom but I was at the peircing place a girl that worked there had hers done and it looked hidious so I skipped out on that one! My ears are pierced too and i used to have my trages pierced but i took it out!

I AGREE ABOUT THE NOSE!!!
I got my nose pierced up at school, and it hurt worse than any other piercing I have gotten....It was unreal.

buckle up and here we go!!! I'm not real big w/ tat's but as Emily said it adds a little flava so I have my name and an angel that sits right below the waist. As for piercings I had my belly button done but that got old so I took it out. I have four piercings in each ear two sit at the lobes one in the center and the cartilge. In Feb. I added the tongue ring to my list and couldn't be happier. Hopefully Claire will be getting hers done soon b/c she is falling behind.

The tongue studs are cool aren't they? My most "daring" piercing, though, is the small ring in the outer fold of my labia; it's not for everyone but I think is kind of sexy!

Thanks for the info, I will let her know. My mom wanted to get her nipples pierced, but I think I talked her out of it after telling her she couldn't wear a bra for a while.

after I got my tongue pierced all I could think was this is it?!?!? If I knew it wasn't going to hurt I would of done it a long time ago...I only felt pressure when they stuck the needle through.

I want so many things pierced! Right now I only have one whole in each ear! That's it! And I want a couple tatoos too but I'm not sure if I'm gonna get one for a while cuz they're permanent but my sis just got one on her foot and it's two hearts and I love it so I might get one on my foot cuz I only like to wear sandals. I also want my lip pierced in the area above my chin, I want my nose pierced, maybe my tongue, more in my ears, and definitely my belly button.

I just got a tattoo last night...it's like a horse with wings (pegasus) and it's body is pink and purple, the wings are blue and a little green, and the tail/mane is yellow and orangeish... it's on my lower back. I think it's cool. I really want more but I gotta wait til I'm 18...my parents only let me get one. But at least they let me get it! Laurel, honestly it really wasn't bad at all. It was a totally tolerable kind of scratching pain. I thought it would hurt way more! To anyone who wants one, go for it. I want to go back for more so it can't be that bad. It just hurt a little more when it hit my spine. Right now, it's a *tiny* bit sensitive but not red at all anymore. Did yours scab? How is yours doing now?

Mine is doing great...I guess you can say it 'scabbed'. It just got rough feeling and darker and then I noticed as I would put my lotion or ointment on it that the little pieces would come off as I was trying to put the lotion on. Now it is to the shiny stage and looks really good. As long as I keep lotion on it it doesn't itch or anything. Thanks for asking

I have the usual ear piercings, 3 in the left ear and 1 in the right. I am anxiously awaiting the moment when I reach a certain weight loss goal and I will have a lovely little gem in my nose As for tattoos, I have a rose and butterfly on R calf, flower vine and butterfly on L bicep, 3 petroglyph style sea turtles that I had done in Hawaii on my R shoulder, and my eyeliner is permanent *ouch*. When I reach my ideal weight goal I will get another tattoo and a navel piercing. Tat will probably be a phoenix on my lower back. Dang, those things are addicting aren't they?!

Okay -- I have to pitch in here. I have so many tatts that I got in trouble at my retailing job because they can be seen, if that tells you something. I seem to like butterflies...so, here goes. I have 7 butterflies flying around my right ankle, one of which is lighting on a rose. I have a small rose on the side of my right heel and a celtic cross/rose combo on the other side of the same heel with a smaller butterfly lighting on top of it. I have a 3 inch long butterfly on my right foot. I'd like to get a matching one on the left foot, but two things hold me back....FIRST the pain and SECOND the fact that the studio that did it burned down about 2 weeks after I got it done. They can trace it, but I haven't had time for them to do the custom tracing -- or the money, either. Also, I have two "BABY PHAT" cats with their tails entwined sitting back to back on a bed of roses (this was a custom-drawn piece) on the inside of my left ankle. I have 6 butterflies flying around on my left shoulder and an "dreamsicle" angel about 2 inches above my right breast. I've also got a fairy reaching out to catch a butterfly on my right shoulder blade, an "airbrush effect" cat face on my left shoulder blade, a large hybrid butterfly/rose combo (the center of the butterfly is a rose) on the back of my neck, a large dragonfly on my right butt cheek, and a rabbit on my right thigh.

Since you guys happened to bring this up, since I've begun tanning, some of these are fading a bit (the color ones -- which most are). How can I prevent this without spending a lot of time "drawing" over them with sunscreen stick (which is what the salon recommended)?

I have two tatts, one on my upper right arm and a Great White Shark in attack mode across my back. The artist was particularly proud of his work on the shark, because I couldn't find a really good clear full pic of a GW in attack, gee I wonder why??? But the pieces of all the pics were put together nicely and the flaring teeth look great!

I have a tribal butterfly band on my arm, a cute colorful fiery butterfly on my back and a lil heart on my ankle ears double pierced, Had my belly button peirced twice but it had to come out with each pregnancy...not sure I'm gonna do it again!!!! My hubby has his tounge pierced, and a Tat of his initials down his arm. He's getting Mine, and the girls names done on him soon. Isn't he brave? LOL

i am boring, ears and belly button. I have a tattoo on my ankle tribal with my husbands name and a rose. I want a cheetah one on my lower back just haven't had the money yet, it is kinda costly. But it doesn't hurt.

I have 3 tats. One is a kitty on my lower back (see in my profile) and I have a butterfly on my back right soulder and I also have a flower/heart vine around my right ankle. Ive head them for a few years now. Since I was 18. Now Im 21. Id like to get my belly peirced. I think it looks really sexy but when I asked the tattoo guy he said that I dont have any lips so he cant pierce me there. Why me? Why do I have to have a deformed belly button? Well it doesnt really look weird or anything but it just cant be peirced. Oh well.

How about on your shoulder blade? That's where mine is. I can show it off with a tank top, or cover it easily with a t-shirt, or dressier clothes. To keep the pain to a minimum, maybe set it a little more towards the middle of your back, it hurts worst on bone.

BTW, one tat (I think there is a pic in my gallery, if not, I'll put one up soon), 2 piercings in each ear, and I'm really comtemplating a "private" piercing.
