Someone please explain the difference between a base bed and an omega bed!

I want to try a new bed today . The best output. Someone help so I will know what to ask for.

An Omega is a high- pressure bed, which (I believe) has predominantly UVA and not UVB rays; the theory is it gets you darker without burning and penetrates through several layers of skin. Some people who use only high pressure find they keep their color by tanning only two or three times a month. Usually you tan ten minutes on each side. Being the obsessive type, I do use an Omega a few times a month, but of course I also tan several days a week on other things too!

thanks this helps. But why do you have to turn over? Only bulbs on top?

No: only on top. You lie on a mattress and then flip. Supposedly it would get too hot otherwise. I use a standup booth to keep even so you avoid any pressure points or whatever.

are their other beds besides this type that work a lot better than a base bed. I only know of one salon in my town and they might not have the omega bed. What do I ask for?

Oh yeah; there are so many! You might want to troll down the Tanning Beds threads and see what people like. Dr. Muller (which makes the Omega) also makes the Orbit and Odyssey; another company to look for is Sonnenbraune; they make INCREDIBLE beds like the Diva and the Klassik! A good salon should have a range of base and high end beds!

UWE makes the S-Class and I think TanAmerica makes the Matrix. Those are both great high pressure beds too!

yep most likely one of your salons in your area will have an orbit or a giant sun or a diva 7 if your lucky a matrix man i wish i had one of those to try in my area
