i've done mystic tan a few times like before dances and things like that! It worked pretty good except one time I didn't follow all the directions and ended up with orange tanner between my toes and it looked really bad!! so be careful!

I liked it ok, but it just seemed to be too much work for me. Even with tons of barrier cream, I ALWAYS ended up orange in spots. I also didn't get any color from it and I went like 7 times. Maybe my skin is immune?

let me clarify. I said I didn't get color, then I said I got orange. The only color I got was the orange spots.

Melmcm it could be the type of DHA solution the salon you went to was using. There are several different types, some look darker and last longer. Maybe you should try a different salon next time.

melmcm, did your salon give you a maintainer lotion to apply to dry spots? If your skin is dry before-hand, the mystic tan can appear blotchy or orange in some areas.

I thought mystic tan worked good for a special occasion if I wasnt tan! But $20 for a self tanner that leaves streaks and lasts only a few days wasnt worth the money! I did feel good and tan fot the occasion though!

I tried the MysticTan a few months ago and at first, I loved the results but after about a day, the back of my legs began to look streaky and there was an orange tint on my arms. I wasn't happy at all after that happened and didn't think for $25 that should have happened (esp. after the salon owners promised that it wouldn't). So just be careful when you use it, maybe you'll love the results! One other thing about that, they say that it's ok to breathe it in but it actually doesn't smell all that great so I would suggest holding your breath if you can while it is actually spraying you. And the inital spray is pretty cold on your skin so just prepare yourself for that too!
