Hi everyone, my first post here. I have been going to the same salon for 3 years, very high end, and very expensive. I can see why, the staff is excellent, very professional and knowledgeable, and the equipment is top notch. Here is my dilemma. It costs about $16 CDN per session. I checked out some other salons, and the cost is about $8.00 per session. Now granted the cheaper salon wasn't quite as top notch as the one I've been going to, but I thought it was worth a shot for half the price. Then I found out the cheaper place doesn't have air conditioned beds, just fans. I am soooo used to the AC beds, I just love them, esp. the Silver Bullet, the AC in that bed is amazing. Am I nuts to pay double the price for AC? Does $16CDN per tan sound outrageous or is it OK? Whenever I tell people where I tan and how much I pay they tell me I'm nuts. Thanks for any input!

KeeKee, You should be tanning at my place .We keep the temp very nice (no a/c per se in romms ) but no one has said the beds are so hot that they sweat. Secret is in the airflow. We charge 16.77 Per month ($30.00 one time joining fee)for unlimited tanning(15 min.Sessions) $20.77 for 20 min. sessions. You can walk away from the club plan anytime,no contract to sign. Months you don't tan cost $3.00 to maintain your membership.

Stay with the place that you like! If they don't have A/C, they probably don't change the bulbs regularly either because they are saving money....If it makes you feel any better, I spend a small fortune on lotions and tanning!

I like the 52 bulb beds at one of the places here $12 for 10 min. max (still don't understand the 10 min. thing) and the hp & stand up booths are $30 a pop! base beds (20 min.?) everywhere else are from $3.50 - $8. I've tanned at places before were they didn't have a/c in the rooms, ugh...hot and stuffy, the fans only blew hot stuffy air around. I go for the ones with a/c.

tom, that sounds like a great deal, I'd tan at your place if it was here! I love the part about no contracts! one salon has plans like that, $32-52 a month, but you have to sign up for a year, and have it automaticly taken out of a checking acount. I don't go for that, my cell phone wasn't even that bad...lol. Anouther place I go offers unlimited for $42, but I don't tan enough for that to be a good deal.

Wow! Some places are expensive! My salon is excellent and I pay $40 a month unlimited for the AC beds with facial tanners. If I paid per session it would be $9.00.
