if you could decide how to pay for your tanning which would you pick?

minutes
sessions
monthly memberships
or another way?

Plus do you know a salon that has the best way of paying for tanning. Or stupid way too!!!

I like buying sessions so then you dont have to keep track of how many minutes you have used or have left...I have never done the monthly membership thing so I dont know much about it.

i personally would like having session packages... i hate worrying about buying minutes, and i hate getting charged double minutes for using the mega bed, i mean i use it exclusively, so if i could buy a package of sessions i would love it...

I prefer having the session packages also, but I wouldn't mind it if they would do a monthly membership.

i pay monthly and on occassion buy point packages for the upgrade beds

I'd prefer to have a choice of both...because when you first start out tanning, you'd want the minutes because you're going a shorter amount. The sessions would come in handy for those people going 20 minutes every time, but until you get to that point, you kind of feel like you're getting ripped off.

I pay a monthly flat fee that gets taken from my checking account; gives me full run of the place, plus a discount on lotions! It's great to be a happy regular customer!

I do monthly.... I don't have to worry about bringing cash to the salon unless I want to upgrade or use a sample.... I buy 3 months at a time....

the place i used to go was great. It was close and very clean.the goggles were sanatized
and the beds were sprayed after each use with a cleaner/disinfectant;and please note that
the customer was the primary person responsible for the initial cleaning after his or her
use.As for paying,I would pay $115 for two months of unlimited use.It seemed like a
pretty fair deal in comfortable surroundings.

I buy packages of 20 visits at a time. I like it. I think for someone starting out, minutes would be a better deal. I don't upgrade all that often, but when I do, I just pay $12.

I just buy the monthly unlimited packages so I can go as often as I want.

I've done all 3 and I must say I prefer the monthly or the sessions. Sessions because it doesn't matter how long or short you tan it's all the same. Monthly I like because I can go every day if I want to and I upgrade when I want for 1/2 price, and it comes right out of my checking/debit. The draw back to monthly is that even if you only go 1 time you still pay full price.

can't you freeze your membership? my salon allows you to freeze up to 2 months at a time... but you have to give them a month to freeze the account (since the debit is taken the 25th of every month for the next month) so if u freeze it at the beginning of the month u can stil tan until the 25th

The salon I go to will freeze your membership too. You don't even have to give them notice.

Thank you for all your great answers. Sounds like it would be best to have all options available to please everyone.

It would be crazy if tanning salons would charge on a scale of "tan achieved". That would be pretty funny. Kind of like the diet companies that say "only $20 for the first 20 lbs lost". I guess it would be impossible to do, but it sure would be different! Or they could have an innovative "tanning meter" that measured your "before" color and then measured your "after" color and then charged you a fee based on that.......
