Well as I have posted before I was having issues with the staff at my salon. Finally today the manager was the only one at the salon so I was able to vent to her. She was very glad I did. She told me she had just fired someone yesterday and had suspended another girl this morning. She was very concerned and looked at who worked on the days I had came in. And was writing down the names, and asked me to describe the girls as well. Also since I had not been coming in because of this she extended my package by 10 days!!! I feel so much better, that I spoke with Cindy. She is a great lady and told me if I wanted to write her about problems I could do that as well if I felt more comfortable doing that. And also said she would keep my name confidential as well.

That shows that speaking up can do some good. I'm glad you got your problems solved and that the manager took control of the situation. Poor service at the salon isn't something that should be tolerated.

that's great Travis. I always vent to my owners and they seem receptive.

As a salon owner, I would definitely want to know. I can't fix it if I don't know about it. Case in point: I recently had to let a staff member go and found out later all kinds of other "issues" about this girl. Some clients knew, some staff knew...if I had known sooner, I could have acted more quickly.

I am so glad things worked out with you and your tanning dilema. I think that if there are problems, a lot of times the management needs to be informed, since they often dont even know of all the problems that go on. Because you talked to the salon manager you have possibly made things better for other tanners, also, who didnt have the courage that you did to speak up.
