Since I've been tanning I've begun to develop racoon eyes from my goggles. On top of this I've always had dark circles under my eyes (I can thank mom's side of the family). I don't wear foundation but I've tried a couple of different concealers (Physicians Formula, Neutrogena, Maybelline) and it still doesn't blend into the tan! Any suggestions?

I'm using Sunsets. They're advertised as not causing racoon eyes, but I've definitely got them (maybe not as bad as they could be, though).

Honestly, its most likely the brands of makeup you are choosing.... I currently am using Mac StudioFix and Prescriptives Bronzing Powder... and my skin looks great and matches perfectly to the rest of my body... check out the nearest Nordstrom, Macy*s, or Bloomingdales... The girls at the counters are there to help you out... Good Luck!

i think the first thing you need to do is try a different type of goggles. if you can, try the stick-on types. or try eyecandy. it could be the shape or the size of the sunsets that is causing your problem.

I agree with Star, The tanning bed allows me to go without alot of crap on my face (which I prefer) and every now and them I will wear a fuller goggle to fade my dark circles some

Yeah, I feel like tanning helps me also to not have to wear makeup, which I can't really wear anyways, but at least I can get away with some Eyeliner, mascara and lipstick/gloss, and still look like I've got "Just enough" Makeup on

I feel the same way tpsy (plus I'm lazy so not having to do the whole makeup routine is a plus) but a lot of foundations these days are good for your skin. I may go back to wearing it again. My skin feels so dry right now. These days I only wear eyeliner, mascara, and lip balm, but may be rethinking this soon.

i bought the bonnie bell bronzing powder and it helps cover the white i get from goggles. cus i think no matter what when u wear goggles u are going to get SOME white around your eyes. the bonnie bell powder doesnt have any sparklies in it so it just covers without the sparkle (which i LOVE) i bought the golden tan one and it works great.

u might want to get a couple different pairs of goggles though just to mix it up a bit. i use sunsets, ultra sun globes, oogles, special eyez, and viewkeepers

the ultra sunglobes are the smallest ones i have found but they took getting used too since if i blinked sometimes they'd move.

I find View-Keepers the best for avoiding racoon eyes, when I stoped wearing them (I ran out) and went back to peepers I got white circles. I use a sunless tanner blended with a Q-tip. It works pretty well & looks so much better. I look tired with white circles.

I just wear a foundation thats darker so it goes with my tan. It evens everything out. As for concealer yes MAC StudioFix is a good one. Go to the makeup counters and let the girls there help you. They can get you a good color and match it perfectly.

maybe you could find a really eavy concealer to hide the circles, and make sure it is a bit yellowy to cover the darkness, then put your normal foundation over top.
