I am not a huge fan of the hot tingle. I just don't like that hot, uncomfortable, sunburn feeling when I get finished with my session.
I do enjoy the cooling tingles like Platinum Zero T4 and Melon Frappe... and I make an exception for Ultimate SPY which I absolutely adore.
But, for the most part, I am a tingle-free zone. I use them only when I am trying to get through a plateau. I use more of the bronzers and browning lotions day-to-day.

I don't care for the tingle too much. I am a person that likes a lotion with a Bronzer in it.

Most people avoid discomfort, so tingle lotions are an aquired taste.
They do provide tanning results. If you haven't tried a tingle lotion yet, start out with a medium tingle. Work your way up to the real heavy tingle lotions for the best results.

i'm not a big tingle person, but i always love a cool tingle...try extra cool with hemp by nuvobronze...or citron sorbet is a great one with a bronzer and a great smell!....melon frappe is also a great one, but it has a little bit of a hot tingle too it

Ok i like tingle on occassion, i am all about the cooling tingles though, i do love the milder tingles (the ones that do not last as long.. dark kickin' ale is a good one) but I have used stronger tingles on occasion for an extra boost

I haven't gotten far enough to use a tingle yet, but when I do what do you guys suggest as a good tingle to try for the first time?

I must be weird. I love tingles.... the hotter the better! At present I am using Hahana by Aloha Tan, gives great color, and the hot feeling doesn't last that long.

I hardly ever use tingles...
Sometimes I get 'into them' once in a while...
They really help me boost my color...

i personally would suggest a mild tingle. tingle factors vary from lotion company to lotion company John Abate lotions have lower #'s for their tingles but they are hotter. cal tan lotions have higher #'s but their tingles aren't as hot. swedish beauty tingles have higher #'s but are pretty hot as well. i personally would tell u to start out with cal tan's tingle level 5's they don't get very hot and u dont tingle very long. or even Emeral Bay's dark kickin' ale it's a tingle level 5 with a bit of a bronzer

I tried a sample of ultimate code red lazer today. It says its a micro tingle, I didnt feel any tingle in the bed, when i got out I felt a bit of tingle and i looked reddish. It was definatly mild tingle. It also glows blue in the bed !

I have used the Swedish Beauty's tingle (2) and its okay. I prefer no tingle on my body, but will use the tingle on my legs. My legs need the tingle and bronzer!

Anya.... I was also thinking of trying EB's Mojo when I get to that point. Isn't it a tingle also?

Remember tingle lotions shouldnt be used on the face, and decollate' (sp) area, the skin in the areas are too thin and delicate!!! I use saving faces reglarly... I had a bad experience using tingle on my face!!!!!! I devolped "contact" roseacia on my face, the increased blood flow caused temporary ( a few months ) of symptoms. Its now clear and problem free... I had told my Dermatologist about the tingle lotion, he said thats the culprit, since i didnt have any other triggers IE, herditary, alcohol, coffee, ect.

I like tingles. I try not to use them when I have to go somewhere right after though because I don't like looking like I am burned. I have been trying to use non tingle a little more lately though since I was becoming tingle-immune. I had been using my JA Private Reserve almost every session for quite a while.
Oh, LAUREL, Yes, Mojo is a tingle and a STRONG one! I love it and love the smell, but it is definitely a hot one! You will want to work up to it.

I hear about everyone else getting so red with tingles but I don't and I use Hahana by Aloha Tan and it's a really hot tingle. I guess it just blends in. Once I tanned on my way to church and one of the other girls said she wished she tanned that brown, she only tans a reddish color, and all that time I thought I had a reddish color. Maybe we just see ourselves differently.

I'm not a tingle fanatic, but my favorite lotion happens to have tingle in it. My fav. lotion is Cherry Bon Bon, which I love for the dark, dark bronzer!

about 30 min after tanning. It doesn't have a specific number rating on the bottle; just says "max tingle". Not that hot I don't think!
One worth trying

I like a heat tingle but not the itchy kind. A tingle will get you passed your plateau.
tingles are great once in a while to bring you to the next level. bronzers are just a stain on your skin they don't do anything. if you are gonna use bronzers then why not just use sunless and not go tanning at all.

I like tingles and I've recently been using hot type tingles. But I would like to try the cool tingle lotions for a change of scenery
The last lotions I bought were Enigma and Exotica by Designer Skin, and before that it was the old Swedish Beauty (now John Abate) Platinum and Titanium.

I don't like the tingles. I never have felt any tingles....it's just too darn hot! I love bronzers. I also don't like tingles because I tan during my lunch hour and when I did use a reddening lotion I looked ridiculous going back to work looking like a lobster.

I was using tingles all the time, but I got to where I couldn't feel them. Now, I just use one every once in a while for a boost. And, I only use them in the booth now. The beds are already so hot, I don't think I could stand using tingle, too. I need to check out the cooling tingles.

I just used a sample of SB Tantalize and the tingle wasnt too bad.
I also just bought a sample of CalTan's Almond Spice.
Has anyone used this before? How bad is the tingle?

I tell you I was disappointed in Safire. TINGLE 25, felt like tingle 1. No tingle, and no cooling. And I didn't care for the bronzer, it had an orangy tint.

Never tried tingles..I have sensative skin where liquid detergents and fabric softener give me a rash! therefore I must use powered detergent.. Anyway, I am afraid I may get a rash from the tingle or bronzer, what's your opinion? Also, I feel hot already after tanning and using my lotion, is that normal.. I am hot like the rest of the day..

If you have sensitive skin, I don't think you should try a tingle.

I like to use tingles in the winter, but only light to med tingles. I tried Pyro and I had the chills that night, it was a weird experience. Not one I care to repeat.
