I went to buy the John Frieda "Life Preserver" that people rave about and the grocery stores don't carry it. Can someone tell me who does?

I found it at Ulta salon, it seems that the west coast Target and Walgreens don't carry it. BTW they sell it for $5.00.

I am going to check today and see if my local Drug Mart has it..I know they have some of the Beach Blonde products. I might try leaving it in overnight and sleep on a towel and see if it helps any. My hair seems to be getting dry on the ends.

To those that have used it, how long does a bottle last? I've tried every Target, Walmart and Walgreens in my city, to no avail, but I did find a place to buy it online. I have longish (few inches below the shoulder) thick hair. Should I just stock up, or buy one bottle first to try it out?

One bottle has lasted me for most of the summer.... then again, I have short hair. buy one to try it. If you love it, then you can stock up.

I'll have to look for some of this stuff! Does it just improve the texture and health of your hair? I've never heard of this stuff, I guess I'm out of the loop

Found it!!!! For those that still can't find it--have you looked at the grocery store? That was the last place I thought to look, but I was wandering up the shampoo aisle on the way to the checkout, and noticed, oh, they have some of the beach blonde line, lemme take a look---sure enough! Life Preserver! Can't wait to try it!

Seriously....if anyone wants a bottle of this, I have one that I am not using. I used it and didn't like it as much as Frizz Ease. PM me and I can send you my bottle. I only used it twice.

i find it to be too oily but a lot of ppl here seem to like it. i prefer the silicone products.

I tried it and it was too oily for my hair for regular use...but I still use it at the beach to keep my hair from getting fried. I prefer the Ocean Waves spray for regular use...but it's a hair thing...depends on your hair type.

John Frieda's Ocean Waves is a "shake to mix" combo of sea water and light conditioning oils that deliver wavy texture and shimmery shine...give ya that "beachy hair" look and feel.

Will it make your hair wavey if it is straight?

I don't know about bone straight hair...my hair is naturally loosely wavy. But it says on the bottle to spray it on and then twist sections of your hair into long twists, then let dry or dry with a diffuser for a tousled beach wavy look. It makes my hair wavier than normal. Does this help?

I love the smell too. I also started using it on my daughter's hair, it works as a de-tangler much better than the reg. detanglers I was using on her.

I agree there for sure! A lot of the detanglers can leave your hair kinda *crunchy* but Ocean Waves doesn't do that...and who can resist having hair that smells like a tropical island?

Do you spray is on dry or wet hair then twist? I ordered a bottle from drugstore.com

I spray it on my towel dried and combed out hair (so, still damp).
