20 minute/ vs 10 minute

I was wondering what everyone prefers color wise in a 10 /vs a 20 minute bed. Relaxation purposes don't count:P Are there more bronzing rays in one bed compared to the other, ect..? I usually use a 10, but went in a 20 the other day for the first time and didn't notice much color with it. Of course for some reason she only put me in the 20 for 10 minutes when I was up to the full time in the 10. No idea why other than she said I would burn if I went the full 20.

I'll tell you a little bit...its scientific stuff dealing with MED's and different times of exposures...

Not sure why either, I would not have allowed you to start in the more intense bed unless you had a good base tan already, with me or from another salon. She may have high UVB output bulbs in her 20 minute beds.

I last about 8 to 10 minutes in our 12 minute beds, but it is because I just don't "rest" well. My mind is just to busy thinking of things I need to do...

That's funny, I had the opposite thing happen to me. I was going the full 10 minutes in the ten minute bed for a while, and then I went somewhere else (closer to work) and went 12 minutes in their 20 min. bed and saw a BIG change! Wow, it was as if I used a bronzer. I have no idea about the different beds, and what makes them different, but I like the 20 min. beds better

my salon used to have a 10 minute bed, it always made me look red. I hated that bed.

I used the 20 minute bed for 16 minutes yesterday ( even though I've been tanning for almost 2 months) and boy did I get color. My face even got a little red (oops). I didn't expect that. I know there is more uvb in their 20 minute beds, but I am wondering if maybe the bulbs are stronger also. I've been at 10 in the 10 minute bed forever but 16 was pushing it in the 20 yesterday.

I used the 20 min bed tonight and got alot more color than I did from the 10 min bed. I'm not sure why. I ask the girl at the counter one time which bed was better and she sd. 10 min, but I seen alot more color from the 20 min bed. I don't really like any of the beds at my salon. I think they are all Sundash beds. My dad has a Dr. Kern, I love that bed. It wraps around you. I tan in the Dr. Kern mostly but when I don't have time I stop at the salon down the road and tan.
