i'm sure we all have our pet peeves when working out!

My pet peeves:

-Guys who make gigantic full-body sweat stains on the equipment, or make loud noise clanking weights.

-Girl who spends more time in lane talking than swimming, when it is crowded!

-The short guys with sweaty shirts that lift up weights way too big for them and makes you nervous

-Girl/guys who leaves her sweatpants, sweattop, etc strewn randomly over the gym.

-people who don't know how to use the treadmill, you worry they will fly off by accident.

- the "I have some weird, elaborate exercise that I do 8 sets of 3 reps and use 2 benches, the cable cross, and the physio ball at the same time just to work my wrist" guy.

- the groups of 5-7 guys that come in and it takes them 45 minutes to finish one exercise collectively, they just sit around talking

- guys who pick the elliptical next to you and constantly watch your speed to make sure they are faster!

mine are the sweat puddles that other exercisers don't mop up, and the men who want to chat you up because you make the mistake of giving them a friendly smile. i don't work out a lot, but when i do, i don't do it to meet guys.

People can be pretty inconsiderate at gyms, it's true, but luckily mine is pretty expensive to join so people generally seem to respect the rules. I do have to remind people to wipe up and spray after they have used the equipment, though. The chatting up thing happens, but most people are pretty serious in their workouts so if it happens, it's outside. I guess my pet peeve is the client who wonders why they aren't seeing significant change after, like, their third workout. It takes dedication!

Oh, and re. swimming, I hate that I can never quite get the chlorine smell out of my Speedo!

I hate when it's super busy at the gym and people stand there staring at you midway through your first rep... it always cuts my routine short. Now I go at 11:00 at night to avoid the line ups, but it's tiring at that hour... *pity me*

I'm a hardcore runner and when it is too hot or cold to run outside I like to use the treadmills at the gym. The only problem is there is only three of them and they're the most popular machines in the gym, so if you go in at a busy hour you'll have to wait to use the treadmills. There is a few people that like to stand there beside the machine and watch your time. So inconsiderate.

Also it bugs me SO much when people try to start up a conversation when I'm running! I love to workout hard, I'm not there for intelligent conversations so I don't understand why people want to talk at the gym instead of workout. But I hate being rude so I feel like I have to atleast answer yes or no to a question.

Now I just get up at 5:30am to get my workout in while there is noone there to interrupt me!

Gosh! I've never come across those problems.

The other day while on the treadmill, I wasn't paying attention, and my water bottle fell off into the floor. I just looked at it, and went back to my magazine. Then, I sat my magazine on the hand rail, and 30 seconds later when I wasn't looking, it fell off! There was a woman on a bicycle next to me, who didn't even flinch. I laughed and said, "I'm dropping everything!" She smiled, and ignored me. I stopped to pick up my mess, and almost fell off the treadmill.

SHE STILL DIDN'T LOOK! I guess I should be greatful, but I wish she'd laughed at me, so I wouldn't feel so rediculous!

@immjj: lmao!

one time while running, my mp3 player fell on the moving belt, making a loud thump. It then flew back on the belt, and hit the wall! some guy retrieved it for me, and it still worked, thank god, it was almost 250 dollars.
