First off, my salon makes me upset to begin with since it's gone downhill in the past couple of years. The people arent' real professional, and I don't feel welcome there, even though I am patronizing them.
I called around tonight to other salons to check them out, and they sell packages rather than minutes, they must have appointments, etc. My regular place is the best deal.
Well, I went in tonight and the same old again....packed, nobody attending to any customers, etc.
Then I asked if they would ever get any other brands besides AG and SB. Of course no response to that except "I don't know".

Should I complain to someone? The manager on duty is just as unprofessional as the staff! I hate this since it's like one of the only good salons in my town. The other is in a bad part and my husband refuses to let me go there at night!

well if they are that unprofessional then it can't be a "good" salon. what i would do is look for a new place to go cus the only way to combat that is with your wallet by choosing not to spend your money there. i'm sorry u had such a bad experiance tonight

You can talk to the manager, but it sounds like you won't get anywhere with that..... it sounds like your best bet is to just find a new salon with better customer service.

I'm stuck! 4 salons in this town, all besides mine sell packages by the session and not minutes. The one nice salon (a co-worker's relative owns it) is too far from me, and my husband won't let me in that area at night. They also want appointments. If I had the money, I'd just open my own!

I would ask for the owner's name if you can't get anything from the manager. Let them know what is bothering you. I know that if someone was unhappy with my salon, I would want to know why. Doesn't mean that I would necessarily be able to fix it (depending on what it was) but I might. Plus, you get to rant about it and feel better knowing that you did what you could to make the situation better for you.
Good luck!

Found this post late! I would definitely try to contact the owner. He/she must not know what is going on. I know I would want to know if my business was being poorly run!
