I'm down in the gutter lately reading trashy romance novels that I can finish in about a day. I usually save those for the summer at the beach.

I need to pick up something a little more complex than my current reading material.

Read??? All I have time to read is all of the tanning forum boards!!!!

I do read a little before bed, nothing too complex though, usually a Nora Roberts or Danielle Steele thing.

To tell you the truth. I hate reading. Unless it is like a Forum that doesn't go on for 300 pages.

I am waiting rather impatiently for my mother to finish the latest Iris Johansen novel. Love her! I also like James Patterson, Michael Palmer, Clive Cussler (I am in love with Dirk Pitt). James Patterson does a lot with forensics and murder, Michael Palmer is medical and Clive Cussler is adventure (underwater). I know you have a science background so maybe these will appeal to you. They are all very easy to get into.

I think that the Harry Potter books are great for all ages. They are easy enough for young teens to understand but there is subtle humor in there that older readers will appreciate.

I highly recommend "{The lovely bones" by Alice Sebold to anyone who has not read it yet. I have never cried so much at any book.

I couldn't believe someone was reading a Scott Cunningham book. I love that book. I read it among other books along that line back in the 80's(Yes,the 80's again).I worked at a new age shop.I'm also a big Anne Rice fan w/"The Mummy" being my favorite.Wish she'd put out a sequel. Also read Stephen King but he's getting a little too out there, even for me.I
also get on true crime reading kicks.

I read every book I could find about them. There are 3.I found it hard to believe 2 people could be so warped together. My boss loves true crime, too.During the slow season, when there's time to read at work,we swap true crime books. He doesn't want the customers to see us reading stuff like that.We might scare them off. That's funny but it's true.

I love romance novels. The trashier, the better. Right now I'm reading "The Italian's Trophy Mistress". Tomorrow I'll probably start on "The Reluctant Princess".

I also like Anne Rice. And I can't wait till June 22? for "The Order of the Phoenix".

The English Assassin by Daniel Silva. I love this author, but am moving pretty slowly thru this one. I really should be reading in preparation for my first year of teaching! Yikes!
I really want to read "Confessions of a Shopaholic" because I am one! But the book is overpriced! If I can get my hands on a used copy, I'll definitely read it!
