Aveda skin care

I was talking to a friend of mine tonight about the skin on my face being dry and she told me to get some lotion by Aveda...but I've never heard of Aveda before. Anyone use it or know what it's like (or if it even works?)

I've used their products. They're great products and are natural products using plant oils and extracts. They have a nice herbal smell, which can be offensive to those who don't want an overpowering smell. The products are sold in upscale salons and they also have stores in malls.

I use Aveda products all the time and they work so good....especially the hair products. I havent tried their facial products but at the salon I go to they use them there.

Jenki: How strong is the smell? Is it a really strong perfume like smell? I like things that smell "Clean" and fresh, not strong and perfumey.

I found the site online and I really like the fact that everything is natural in them and that they are concerned about the environment. The stuff looks really expensive, but if it works really well, it's worth the price.

I've been using Aveda products for several years now & have never had a better complexion.I believe Carolina Sizzle is an Aveda skin care specialist.Someone is who is on the board alot.I just had an Aveda facial a week & a half ago.Heaven...so relaxing.
I use their sensitive skin products.Their regular line caused me some redness.I don't think they are any more expensive than Clinique.I don't think their skincare products smell perfumy,at all.At least the ones I've been using.

Aveda is wonderful stuff! It's about the only line my salon (hair) can use to wax my brows and I don't break out since it's all natural. The hair care line is excellent!

DChan: I think Aveda has a pretty strong smell, but it's not offensive. I just have a problem with smells sometimes. Certain of their products smell stronger than others. I just don't like different smells interferring with my cologne. You probably need to sample the smell before buying if you don't like herbal smells.

I use Aveda hair products all the time..they are my fav! Although, I have never tried ther skincare line, but would like too, I am sure they are upscale quality just like their haircare line! I do feel that some of their products have strong scents but I do not mind because it smells great!
