I was going to start hitting up a local gym. There is tanning at the gym but I don't want to go there. I'd much rather hit up my salon that I go to now. I was just wondering..
Is it better to work out 1st and then tan?
Or
Tan then workout? I wouldn't have time to shower in between.

I always work out then I tan. But thats just me I like to relax and lie down after working out for a hour or 2 and tan.

workout first. It might jsut be a psychological thing but I think I tan better after a workout. It might be becasue the blood is pumping. I think its kind of like the tow people on the beach, the one running around playing football or whatever will tan better than the one just lying there sun bathing. That is the princilple tingles work on, they get the bllod flowing and bring it closer to the skin

I tan after working out too, and for the same reasons mentioned above. Sometimes I go for a swim after tanning, but for years I workout around 3pm, then tan.

I always tan and then workout. The reason why is because the tan helps me loosen up sore muscles. It would give me a better tan to do it the other way around but I like it this way.

As a fitness director, most of my clients workout then tan. Personally, I prefer to workout then tan because tanning makes me sleepy!

Definitely work out then tan...think of the tan as your reward!

Yeah,I just discovered for myself that tanning after work out gives me a darker tan.

tan then workout... it might be crazy but it feels like my muscles are already warmed up by the time i start running if i tan first.

All right! Somebody agrees with me. It must be a runner thing.

If you tan then workout your muscles are warmed up, if you workout then tan you get better tanning results cuz your blood is already pumping and it relaxes your muscles.

I would have to workout, sit in the hot tub, shower, get dressed and go back to my salon to tan. I would not be getting near as much of a positive as people who have beds to use in their gym. I agree though, you are right. It just works better for me this way.

I usually do my exercices, shower the sweat away - and tan then. When I tan outside, I usually move around, playing beach volleyball or just walking. If you had children, itīs almost impossible to lay around for hours and fry anyway

Yep, tanning is my carrot that I dangle, to get me motivated to go exercise. I don't notice any difference in color, but it's so nice and relaxing to just lay there and think, yay, I'm done exercising for the day!
