the sunless tanner used in the Mystic Tan booths takes 3-4 hours to oxidize on your skin.... so after that time is when you'll see the "final" color.

TazTanning is in Brick, right?

I looked at this machine the other day and aksed the salon owner if I could really get any darker from it (I'm pretty dark now, very really). He said I could get a little darker, but I like the beds. Plus, how do you put your clothes on without it getting on them? Does it dry immediately? And how does a mystic tan affect your next bed session? ?

I haven't tried a Mystic Tan yet; I guess I've been afraid it would change my color to something odd. Did you find it really helped to deepen your existing color and keep it natural looking?

Sorry it took me so long to write back... it's been like 3 days since I did mystic and WOW... I'm so freakin' dark!! And it's not a fake-looking dark either... it's a nice golden brown And you guys were right, I waited a couple hours the night that I did it and the color seemed to darken a little. The next morning however, after about 8 hours of sleep, i was DARK! When I checked in the mirror I was like blown away... I was so thrilled that I could get color like that overnight lol The color faded a little since then, but not much. I'm definitely gonna keep doing it (along with regular tanning, as always )

you dry yourself like you towel off after a shower... check the backs of your legs a couple times though to make sure u get all the solution. the solution will make you look a little darker right after but the longer you leave it on without getting wet the darker u will get if u go the full 24hrs without showering u will be very very dark.

We are putting a Mystic in our salon. I'm glad to see some positive results and comments from you, the actual tanners. You guys are quite the researchers. Truthfully, I learn as much from you about products and differnt beds than I do elsewhere. Thanks

I tried the mystic but I found it faded too fast, I guess I should have waited a little longer to shower. I showered that night, about 9 hrs later. But anyway, you can find a salon that does mystic tan in your area by going to their website, www.mystictan.com

I would like to hear some opionions on the mystic maintainer? does it work well for you guys we sell it but havent really heard back from it let me know if you have tried it i hear really helps make it last longer

Foxy I don't think you used a Mystic if you were at Hollywood Tans - they have there own brand of booth marketed as the six second spray tan. Was your session just six seconds? Were you told to rub the solution in with your hands? Did you use barrier cream?

I've heard some of those knock-offs like Sunless Express do a pretty crappy job compared to Mystic.

HI, I TRIED THE MYSTIC TAN AND GOT SO DANG DARK IT WAS AWSOME, BUTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT I DID IT 1 MORE TIME B-3 I WENT TO VEGAS AND AFTER A FEW DAYS IT STARTED WEARING OFF AND IT FADED MY REAL TAN WITH IT B/C I HAD TO EXFOLIATE THE REAT OF IT OFF. SO I RECOMMEND ONLY FOR PARTIES COMING UP FOR A 1 DAY EVENT AND DO IT LIKE 2-3 DAYS IN A ROW. ANYTHING LONG TERM PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY AND PUT IT IN A REAL BED WITH A GREAT BRONZER.

Cancer is not worth it for me, plus I don't want to have crappy looking skin later on. Sunless is the only way to go.

While I like the 24 pale to bronzed babe result of Mystic, bring on the bulbs! Nothing makes me feel and look as fabulous!

I am with you JenX! There is no point in ruining your youthful skin so when you are 35 you look 55, you can get the same tan without the UV exposure-and save your skin.

Hi guys....we are launching Su-do bodyart systems in the States this summer/fall, starting with NJ & eastern PA. We have had wonderful results in the U.K., Australia, Europe, even Japan. We will soon be looking for demonstrators/trainers in all U.S. markets. If you have any interest, please check out www.su-dobodyart.com or feel free to email me (nixjag@hotmail.com) with questions. Thanks!
Nick

For what it's worth, a complete Su-do (rhymes with Judo)start-up system for airbrush tanning costs salons only about $900-$1300, including training....the potential is huge either to complement UV systems for those that don't want or can't have UV, or as a stand-alone.

When I went tanning today one of the managers suggested I try the Mystic but was told not to use anything with oil in it because it will wash it off, but otherwise it should last 5-7 days. How long did it last for you guys?

The only problem with the Mystic I had was around my ankles, fingers, and toes... I could never quite get those brown blotches under control. I tried every which way of applying the barrier cream, too. Might just be my skin, or my clutzy technique, tho.
