Dark 'n Dazed by Emerald Bay is one of my favorites for this Spring...
It has a great scent, and goes on well...
I feel it not to be quite as moisturizing as other lotions, but Total Immersion is used for this dilema...
try it, you will love it!

I love this stuff, it's my 1st choice if I can't shower after tanning and have to go somewhere, but I do think it is pretty moisturizing. I think this is probably a good one for men too because it smells good without being all fru-fru like.

I have tried almost every after tan lotion there is and the only one that I really love is Hempz. I use it everyday after I get out of the shower.

I just started tanning for the first time in several years and just tried Dark N' Dazed and absolutely love it. I agree it isn't very moisturizing, but I use Total Immersion to solve that.

Wish my salon had total immersion in the bottle for sale, so far they only have little testers but it goes a long way. it beats Body Drench hands down!

Dark'n Dazed is great! Have you tried Synergy's Go Dark? Nice feel, great low maintence bronzer and just the right amount of tingle. Price is right too. Well worth a try!

WELL MINE DIDN"T
I don't care for D-n-D at all. The smell is great, but I didn't care for the rest!

My skin usually feels soft and silky after using D n'D also, but everyone's skin is a little different. I don't look scaly like I used to when I tanned years ago.

Strnghrt,
If your salon is selling small size bottles, this means they have seperated gift with purchase items [those small botles should be coming with a bottle of tanning lotion]. Tell them not to be cheap and get the big bottle in there!

Mojo dries my skin out badly... I haven't tried any other lotions from Emerald Bay and I don't plan to...
and i thought it smelled way too sweet, i don't like baking-scented lotions most of the time.

I just bought Dark 'n Dazed today
So far as a non tingle lotion, I like it and its scent. I'll use it to get my base tan and probably go back to a tingle afterwards...

Someone gave me the EB Cocoa Butter.... I tried it this morning as my moisturizer after showering. (it's a DHA bronzer) It left my skin alright in terms of moisture but major gross DHA smell! ew! I haven't smelled a bronzer that bad since Nuvo Bronze's Cocoa Bronzing Creme. I will be giving this one away asap.

Even though I don't care for it, many would give it a thumbs up. It does have a good scent, and many feel it's moisturizing. Also, the price is not bad at all.

To me, D-n-D seems like a good lotion to start out the tanning season with. It's a great Step 1 product. However, if you are expecting major color results, it's not going to happen.
nikptbo
05-14-2003, 01:17 PM
what do you recommend then for someone like me who has been going in the salons for maybe 6 weeks now, using def dark rgiht now, canything i might try to give more colour results?
colorgod
05-14-2003, 01:21 PM
You might want to try a light bronzer or/and a light tingle.
nikptbo
05-14-2003, 01:29 PM
hmm, ill think about it, im not sure if i wanna go the bronzer route..(fear of streaks) and i dunno about tingle, like how hot do u get with it? and how do you make sure ur not getting over exposed with a tingle?
colorgod
05-14-2003, 01:37 PM
You will want to start off with a low tingle! Search for tingles and read what others say about it.
Ginger Spice is a low tingle new this year from CT.

Not too thick nor too thin. Goes on great. I like its smell. It's compatible with my skin, meaning, it doesn't dry me out. And, its relatively cheap compared to some others out there. So, it works for me

EB makes a mild tingle/bronzer and it is Dark Kickin' Ale. I use it on days when I don't use DND. You might want to sample it too.
Just bought a bottle of Dark'n Dazed. It really helped my base tan and i like the smell. I didnt notice any problmes with the moisture though.

I've been looking for a good non-tingle, non-bronzing lotion to work on my base tan (currently using Cal Tan Maxlotion) and this one sounds good and seems to have a lot of fans here, so I think my next purchase will be Dark'n Dazed.

hyperion the darkndazed has a bronzer in it ...if u like the maxlotion you will like the Cal Tan Helix.
Hyperion

I just saw this post...I don't think you are right about this....I hope not, because I just ordered some and I don't want a bronzer...and as for the CalTan, yes I am using Maxlotion, but I don't really like it, and Helix, I believe that is a step 2 lotion and I am still working the base tan...and anyways, I will NEVER pay $30 or $40 dollars for a bottle of tanning lotion...but thanks for the input anyway.
Can someone please clarify this: Does Dark'n'Dazed have a bronzer or not?
nikptbo
06-13-2003, 12:54 PM
it doesnt
BrOnZeDbOmBsHeLl
06-15-2003, 03:21 PM
it's not an expensive lotion retailing for about $17 so even if you didn't like it you wouldn't be totally out in the dark.
Laurel

No Dark N Dazed does not have a bronzer in it. Dark Kickin Ale does though but it is also a tingle.

Dark n Dazed has no bronzer however Sunburst Sorbet, Cocoa Butter and Dark Kickin' Ale do, all made by Emerald Bay

I had a bottle of dark and dazed last year and used the whole thing and let me tell you it didnt do anything for my color. I did get color but it wasnt because the lotion was helping. I used Rich sexy tan by Matahari and that stuff REALLY works! I got a nice rich brown color and Im lovin it!
